About
Flood’s Coaches (Floods Motor Services) commenced operations in 1939 when Tom Flood the founder of the business started transporting newspapers from Bendigo to Echuca on a Harley Davidson motorcycle. He later added a side car to the motor bike so he could take passengers.
The run then expanded out to include Shepparton and connecting small towns. Tom then purchased an RIO Speedwagon small bus which became the Bendigo -Shepparton Bus run. This run was sold on but still operates today taking people and freight twice daily.
The core part of the Floods business started between the late 1940s and early 1950s when we won tenders to operate thirteen mainstream and special school bus contracts in and around the Bendigo area.
Floods continued to offer school bus services and school charter right up until 2024 when the business was sold to the Donric group. The strong family business values have continued but now with the backing of a larger entity Floods can now offer more diverse services.
The Tom Flood Sports Centre which is the main school bus interchange in Bendigo is named after Tom the founder of the business.
Our fleet includes eco-friendly vehicles to minimise environmental impact and all buses are designed for accessibility, ensuring comfortable travel for everyone.

Our Fleet
Our fleet of 15 charter coaches and school buses are regularly updated with the latest technology. All vehicles are serviced every 5,000 km by qualified personnel, ensuring reliability and safety for our clients.

We are an Accredited Bus Operator (AO00333) with Safe Transport Victoria and all our drivers complete thorough training to ensure they are operating at or above appropriate standards.
